    Moving blogs.

Okay. I've switched to "Friends Only" commenting. That spam was just awful. I have well over 500 comments to delete now, and there's no quick way to do it.

I'm considering moving my FFXI/Potion blogs to Vox. We haven't heard from Iceshadow for months, and I don't think the site will survive. It's probably quicker to move all my entries over than to delete all this spam.

Screw it. I'll do it now. It's the weekend and I'm kind of fed up. I'll let you know when I've set things up.

Why am I bringing logic into this game?

I don't know how it all fit in that chest, but I got the snowcraft. C'mon, powder hounds! Let's look for "the bell that opens the path to the torch that will hold the flame that will control and bring down the Dreadnaught"! Lawd, that is some RPG to-ing and fro-ing.

Also, I've stumbled upon a Chocobo! Only one? Lonely guy... Alll 4 of us in the party will make use of his super strong back, I suppose.

    We're doomed!

Oh no! The Dreadnought! It's in the air! It's flying! It's... ...I dunno what it's going to to o_O I'm going to chase it down with my shiny new Mythril weapons. See what happens.

...still haven't found Leon yet. I feel like I'm getting a little sidetracked here.

    Final Fantasy II - Start

Character! In-depth story! Emotion! How I missed you.

I've begun my journey in the world of Final Fantasy II. Things have gone crazy! Soldiers and monsters everywhere. Adventurers can't take a break. Especially when they're defeated in their first battle. Oh well.

Where did Lionheart aka Leon go? SURELY WE MUST FIND HIM BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE, AND GET CAUGHT UP IN A GREATER CONFLICT ALONG THE WAY!

My first clue was to go check out a pub. What a bum job. Turns out predictably tragic, actually. Poor Hilda. We all give a sigh, then head off to the next adventure.

I spend an hour of game time wandering about trying to find out where I go next. My goodness, do I need a World Map right now. I run into a few towns that I can't help out yet. I meet Cid. Wander around forests until I get my arse kicked. Turn back and go another way. Get arse kicked. Eventually find my way to the Semite Caves.

I'm running low on MP and Potions, and really hope I can get out of this place alive.

    Sigh...

I'm getting a little disappointed. geg still has no real desire to finish Final Fantasy I that I know of. I knew this was going to happen, for some reason.

I'm going to start Final Fantasy II without him. III is being released around September. There's no real reason to keep putting it off.

He's such a smelly poo bum!

PlayOnline does not like this computer, so no TetraMaster for me.

I so should've held off buying that DS for a little longer...

Cutest little Onion Knights! Of course, it will come bundled with the game. And of course, it will most likely stay in Japan.

In other "news", geg has picked up another book. Sigh... Should I go on without him? Leave the weak behind? No! No, Jennifer! Don't think of these things! Stay strong!

He's picked up another book. We'll never be adventuring at this rate! Hummm...

In other news, it seems that Final Fantasy III on DS will include Wi-Fi. Maybe we'll be adventuring with you, dear readers? Hoo hoo hoo! I can't wait!

geg should've finished FFI by now, but he's caught up with reading, the darling.

So! I've been out adventuring all by myself.

I've now seen what only geg, and 3 other people have seen. I'm not telling you the secrets of "What's under a Black Mage's Robe?". You'll have to find out for yourself...

Aaaaah, the Mirage tower. I remember the time I went there. Vampires, bio-robot Miyazaki-type things, the awesome treasures inside...

I also remember that fucking warp panel. I remember that I had trouble getting onto it. Too bad I can't remember HOW to get onto it. We have the chime, followed the game the way we were supposed to... and we're stuck. Stuck at this stupid warp block thing.

It's been sugested we go look in the waterfall near Onrak. Maybe I'll let geg know, or maybe I'll let him sweat a little while longer. Mwahahahaaa...

I currently have the third crystal in my grubby little paws. Thankfully, it's a water cystal so my paws are now clean and sanitary ^_^
It was relativley uneventful, actually, apart from getting lost in the Sunken Shrine whilst looking for said crystal.
Oh, didn't I mention? Before this I did the whole class change thing, and gave everyone sex changes - h0h0h0! Not really. But Jen the Ninja overshadowed Loz the Knight and geg the Black Wizard, while Gob the White Wizard entertained the Ghasts with his illusions. Killed a lot of Mindflayer's (OOH-WEE-OOOOOH!) and Sahagin's while picking up neat weapons (diamond armour GET!) and Gil (ol' Gil, ha ha yeah, ha cha cha and do do do).

Then came the time to kill Meester Water Fiend. He was much simpler than the other's before him. A few whacks from Jen and some Thundaga from geg and it was over in 4 attacks!

After that I went and got the Rosetta stone, went to Melmond and learnt Lufenia. Next I travel to the desert to a tower to battle who-know's-what. I think this calls for a SEXY PARTY!

Marilith is down! 2nd crystal GET. Not too much pain to the party this time, although Black Mage geg almost went in without any MP. A smack on the head set him straight. To battle! Ice spam, another smack on the head ("No, you DON'T need to cure Blindness on your mages"). A few nasty hits, especially from those Fire2s, but nothing fatal. (Protect did wonders).

geg and Jen will not go down easily!!

    Waltz for the PS2

I don't know why I haven't seen this before, but I've just stumbled upon a PS2 tech demo Square made a while ago. They re-did the dance scene in Final Fantasy VIII with PS2 technology, much like the PS3 tech demo they did for the opening of FFVII. I wish I could find a proper, hi-res version of this video. Google is my friend. I'll track it down and share it, because it's rather cute. You can tell they've come a long way since ^^

Insert "Lich rhymes with bitch" pun here.

So, geg has killed the wicked old Lich and has retrieved his first crystal. Champion! After that he went off to the Earthgift shrine to have a poke around.

...thaaaat didn't go so well. The party went up against Echidna. If only there were Float... those Earthquakes hit HARD (when they actually hit). Jen, the Thief, dodged a lot of the Earthquakes, but the White and Black Mage were running out of MP fast. The Black Mage's Firga was the only thing that was doing any real damage. It wasn't enough. The party was totally wiped out and sent back to the Shrine's entrance.

Then geg sent the party back in there again XD

Maybe we'll send them off to Cresent Lake before we try that again.

    The journey begins.

Well, where do I start? Final Fantasy 1, obviously. Jennifer has a GameboyAdvance version that I am playing at the moment (currently 5ish hours in) and I'm going to complete it, and work my way through the series.

Though I am no stranger to the Final Fantasy series. The first time I played it was well after everyone loved it, I guessed, but I really had no idea that it existed. My sister used to work for the local paper and I'd do game reviews once a week. One week i was handed the brand spanking new Final Fantasy IX. I loved every minute of it, but I had to give the game back. I promptly forgot about it until I got the internet (OMG LOLZ) and downloaded (oh my) some roms (OH NOEZ) of Final Fantasy 1, 2 and 3. Using an emulator I played them...but I found the effect of playing them emulated on the computer was rather...well...sucky.

A few years later and I picked up Final Fantasy VIII in a bargain bin. I set about spending two weeks of my life devoted to it, but getting nowhere in particular.

I am constantly distracted by shiney things, so that could be a reason why I never continued on.

One of the things on my to do list for games is play Final Fantasy VII. I've been told many times it's the best of the series. Pants to playing it and completing it before any others. I'm gonig to start with 1, and end with X-2 (sucks, apparently?) or...XII? Probably XX by the time I get finished with them all.

I want to chronicle my progress through all the games. Noting gameplay, storylines and characters. Perhaps deep down, I will want somewhere to hold my memories so I can never possibly forget them.

    Final Fantasy I
Bless Jennifer's DS as it blows the ROM version away (...obviousley). 5 hours in and I've got the Princess back, gotten the witch her eye, woken the Elf Prince (Bloody Elves!!!) and done a couple of other things that weren't really noteworthy.
Next is to explore the outside world after the Dwarf blew a passage way for my ship. Where to next? I can't wait...
